Letting Freedom Ring
People have struggled throughout time for freedom. People have taken up the sword in its defense. In times of oppression and slavery the people have arose to resist and fight. History has been written by people spending all of their lives fighting oppression. These fighters became known as freedom fighters. These were the people who gave there last breaths in struggle.
Somehow now the word “freedom” has come be a cliche and passe. It has become equated with all things relevant and pertaining to life. The people can no longer contemplate the difference between oppression and freedom. People now speak about freedom from their jobs.
They speak of freedom from drudgery, freedom from family, and freedom from debt. The word “freedom” has become a catch all term that has become meaningless. In fact, the word “freedom” has come to mean the opposite of what it was intended to mean.
People have fallen into the trap of the word “freedom”. It has become simply a word. It has become a concept. Freedom has become a subject for debate. The people debate the issues of freedom.
Freedom is the commitment to dreams and action.
