There Goes A Mentor
So you spend your life wandering aimlessly picking up the loose change that is found laying in the streets. That is about as close as you have been to the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Each and everyday you go to work unappreciated and unrewarded for what you do. You have been pretty much ignored by all. Maybe it’s the shoes!
But, then one day someone ask you a question to which you know the answer. After that you go merrily along plodding on your way. Then, the first is multiplied by another and you’ve answered miraculously for a second time. You still don’t give it a second thought. Before you know it word gets around that you provided a solution to something. A group appears and they are listening to what you have to say. You don’t want to believe it. Soon you are respected for your knowledge.
It is astounding. Right? After a while the words you say make sense to someone. The suggestions that you make are taken seriously. And, someone actually remembers and repeats something that you have said. Suddenly, you are the life of the party and everyone knows but you…Mentors are made not born.
