The Closer You Get
As a child he was born in hard times and that was without a doubt. But that didn’t stop because he knew no better. He traveled his path as he always did. And he thought everything was okay.
That is until a crow came flying bye and said, “Don’t you know that your life is hard?”
“It is? I didn’t know that”, answered the child, keeping on his path.
The child grew into a man walking along his path. He placed one foot before the other and keep on going forward. Then the same crow that had question him before came back to him with the a different form of the same question.
“Why do you persist? It is not your place and you will not succeed. You are no better than me”, said the crow. “I am a crow. I know my place. I know my station in life. And I know that I will never be anything but a crow.”
The man looked at the crow long and hard before speaking. Then he carefully though over what he was going to say. Finally he spoke to the crow, “Did you ever notice in all of your anguish that we are not crows.”
