The Man Who Needed A Ride
There were once two men. One of the men owned a car and the other did not. Each day the man without a car would ask the man with a car for a ride.
“Can I get a lift home?” the man without a car would ask.
“Sure you can my friend,” said the man with a car.
Each day the man without a car would ask the man with a car for a ride. And each day the man with a car would oblige him. Until one day.
“I give you a ride every day,” said the man with a car.
“You certainly do and I appreciate it very much,” said the man without a car.
The man without a car was not a poor man. In fact, he always carried a pocket full of money.
“Will you contribute to the gas?” asked the man with a car.
The man without a car was stunned to say the least and a bit shocked that the man with a car would ask him to contribute to gas.
“I don’t have any money,” said the man without a car.
“I think that it is only fair that you help pay for the gas since I drive you everyday,” said the man with a car.
“I never thought of that before,” said the man without a car.
The next day the man without a car took a taxi.
