Whispers of a Man
“If you listen very closely you can hear it,” said the man.
“Here what?” ask the other.
“Here the whispers of the winds that tell us of journeys to be taken.”
“Tell me of the journey?” ask the other.
“The first step in the journey is to be good to yourself,” said the man.
“Why?” ask the other.
“To be good to yourself is to be one with yourself. And when your are not good to yourself you are not one with yourself.”
“Does that make me evil or bad?” ask the other.
“No, when you are not one with yourself you are not evil or bad. You are divided.”
“How can I achieve this oneness?” ask the other.
“Wake up and do not measure yourself against the standards of good and evil, and right and wrong. Because when you are not good you are not evil. In longing for your giant self lies your goodness. Find your giant self by walking to your goal firmly and bravely.”
“What if I am not strong enough for this? What should I do? ask the other.”
“Limp your way forward,” said the man.
